Growing toy roses is probably a great choice for those who are new at it, and want to be able to enjoy them without having to give a lot of time on maintenance.  Miniature roses are all grown in the same way, and they come in several dissimilar colors and styles.

You can grow your miniature roses inside or outdoors, you can decide for yourself. The way you grow your roses in largely in part to the amount of time you have to nurture them .  The key to growing your miniature roses is location, location, location .Growing miniature roses outside gives them an added benefit  of great deal of sunshine since they are in the yard or garden. Growing your roses outside will also give them the added benefit of naturally occuring elements in the ground.

Growing your roses indoors will keep them free of pests and fungal diseases, but nothing can replace the benefits of natural sunlight. Many rose growers claim that using a pot to grow them in is easier.  Growing your roses in pots, means that they can be moved conveniently when necessary.   Being able to bring your roses indoors may be critical if you live in a colder climate.Roses prefer warmer temperatures, and flourish in humid climates, so be aware of this when you begin your planting. You will have better luck with your rose plant if you can pick it up off the ground and move it away from anything that might be damaging the plant, and it may get better air circulation when indoors as well.

Pick a nice growing container to grow your miniature rose in, be sure that you get one large enough to fit it for one year of development. Your pot will need to be large enough to allow the roots to spread out as it will continue to grow. In order to allow room for the roots, you should look for a pot that is about 12 to 15 inches wide.

Keep an eye out for proper drainage if you choose to plant your miniature roses in a pot. You’ll want to invest in a good potting soil for your miniature roses, and most likely a soil that is recommended for miniature roses. Regular soil tends to become jammed with too much moisture. If your miniature roses are overwatered, then that can also cause your roses to wilt, killing your miniature rose. 

When first planting your miniature roses in your pot, be sure to add natural compost to them. Natural dead foliage and worm castings are great sources for your miniature roses. Roses love phosphorous rich soil that helps them grow strong and vivacious. In addition to the rich soil, be sure that you put your plants in an area where they will get at least four hours of sunshine every day. When using pots for your miniature roses, be sure to put them in a place where they will get the best sun.
